Events are planned throughout the country on or around May 3 to honor Pete's music and all Pete has done and is doing in so many ways to help make this a better world.

If you'd like to be a part of this nationwide outpouring of appreciation and affection, this is the place to find out what is happening near you, or for you to let everyone know about an event that you would like to coordinate.

We encourage events to be free and open to the public where possible.

Santa Monica Friends Meeting Seegerfest

Come help celebrate Pete Seeger’s 86th birthday! Seegerfest was organized by Jean King, former Lt. Governor of Hawaii and long time peace and justice activist with AFSC’s Hawaii Area Program.

What to Bring: Bring your guitars, banjos, and out-of-tune voices to a sing-along party featuring Pete’s songs and songs that resonate with his interests. If you have a copy of Rise up Singing, bring that along, too.

Where: 402 Fifteenth Street, Santa Monica (corner of Carlyle and Fifteenth)

When: Tuesday, May 3 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
